Founded 27 years ago, the Arauco Educational Foundation aims to make a social contribution and support the development of communities where the company is present, placing teachers at the center as essential actors of changes in education. Its focus is to strengthen the competences and practices of teachers in exercise, which finally has an impact on students’ learning.

The teacher training programs are implemented through public-private alliances established with the Ministry of Education and the municipalities, all of which work together to make a contribution.

To date, Arauco Educational Foundation has implemented programs in 34 communes, benefiting 575 schools and over 5,100 teachers who annually teach about 99,800 students.
