Infrared thermometers, medical protective suits, plastic sheeting for face shields, and mobile phones for patients’ control are some of the donations that Alejandro Suazo, Head of Procurement for the Constitución Zone of ARAUCO’s Forestry business has been able to make with the support of the company and Civic Committees.

This solidarity campaign not only includes the provision of personal protective gear against Covid-19, but also work and materials to improve the hospital’s facilities, including the repair of hospital workers’ lockers, the recovery and cleaning of hospital beds; a new waiting room for the emergency unit; a concrete foundation for the parking lot; and other actions.

“Helping the community is remarkably rewarding. The invitation is to approach our neighbors and do something. I am certain that we can all contribute by calling out to our contact network, but it’s important to do so in a way that is not corporate, but as a member of the community. Let’s do this, it’s in our hands”, said Alejandro.
