ARAUCO donates portable ventilator to Hospital of Constitución

ARAUCO donated a portable mechanical ventilator to the Hospital of Constitución with the purpose of strengthening the medical care provided to Covid-19 patients. This modern equipment can be used on seriously affected patients that must be safely transferred to other healthcare facilities, such as the Regional Hospital of Talca.

Anette Rodríguez, director of the Hospital of Constitución, was grateful for the company’s new contribution. “It provides significant support for the care of all our patients. With this equipment, and others we have received these past months, today the Hospital of Constitución will be able to offer a more efficient and effective health care response”, she said.

“Since the pandemic began, we initiated intensive work to prevent the propagation of the coronavirus among employees and their families. Additionally, we started cooperative work with other companies, municipalities, and medical institutions to meet the more urgent needs”, said Nelson Bustos, Public Affairs assistant manager for ARAUCO.
